We are very excited to welcome you and your racing partner to our London Bridge studio for your full HYROX simulation! Knowing what to expect and how the day will run is vital to ensuring everyone gets the most out of their time slot, so please take the time to carefully read through the
following:
• We want to welcome as many people off all levels to this event as possible, but it is important
to keep in mind that HYROX is a race - many pairs will be putting in their best efforts and
treating the simulation as their actual race-day. If you are completely unfamiliar with the event
or have’t experienced the movements and/or weights beforehand, we highly recommend that
you communicate this with us or come to one of our HYROX sessions on Wednesday evenings
of Saturday mornings to experience how it will feel for you and your partner.
• You must arrive no later than 15 minutes before your allocated start time to allow sufficient
time to warm-up and be set-up with your timing bands. You will be met by one of our coaches
as you come in through the front door who will sign you in.
• Being as honest and realistic about your predicated finish time as possible will help us make
sure no clashes occur during the simulation. Your start time is now locked-in and cannot be
changed. Pairs well head out every 15 minutes. If you are delayed or unprepared to leave at
your selected time, you will not be allocated another one. Tickets for this event are non-
refundable.
• If one or both partners decide to stop completely during the event, for whatever reason, you will
not be allocated another start time and your simulation will end immediately.
• We have plenty of kit for the various stations, but only one sled track. When entering the
studio for your sled push and pull, you will need to be prepared to assist one of our coaches
with the quick changing of weights and attaching/taking off the ropes so you can keep moving
as quickly as possible.
• Your ‘OUT’ will be the front door to the studio (up the stairs) before turning LEFT for your 1k
run. Your ‘IN’ will be the rear door, which your access when turning LEFT off of Bermondsey
street as you approach the studio. As the sled track is by the rear door, you must be mindful of
pairs working with the sled and be as accommodating as possible, as to not interfere with their
simulation.
• An information pack will be sent out to all participants prior to the event with details of the
stations and a map of the 1k loop.
• If you are lapped by another pair and you both end up arriving at the sled push or pull, the
faster team has priority and you will either have to wait for them to finish or continue
immediately to the next station (Burpee Broad Jumps).
• When you are completing the 1k loop with your partner, please be aware of obvious hazards
such as cars, bikes, other people, potholes etc.
• After you have completed your simulation, there will still be plenty of other pairs in the middle of
theirs. Please, collect your things as quickly as possible and keep clear of the gangway and
gym floor.
• If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact us at
londonbridge@miloandthebull.com so we can assist you.
• Lastly, have fun and go out hard!
